Welcome to GTONS Open Network Craft

The Open Network Craft Modules are a series of training modules which are designed to help educate rural and remote communities on the physical hardware aspects of bringing broadband Internet to their communities.

The modules are arranged as follows:

	This first module describes how to install a local area network within a building using CAT5 interior cable and ethernet technology
	Module two describes how to install a wide area network, usually over challenging geographical features, using wireless technology
	The third module will explain installation of local and wide area networks using coax cable technology
	This module describes how to install a wide area network using fiber optic cable
